	4overview 4Bendida 4Sabazii 4Kibela 4summer kitchen 4toilet 4shower The buildings at Rahovitza have never had indoor toilets and we choose to keep it that way. We have build an outdoor composting toilet with a magnificent view using all natural building materials. Our toilet is made from a stone foundation, a wooden structure and a straw-earth infill. The roof is made using the traditional stone technique. The walls are plastered with earth plasters inside and out. A stone paving leads to this structure. The composting is done in 120l barrels. Only the solid feces are collected and mixed with hay and toilet paper. The compostation takes about 3 months. The inoffensive product can then be used as fertilizer. The liquid waste is diluted with the gray water from the nearby sink and directly decomposed by ground bacteria into nitrogen-rich fertilizer.
